CARDS: Hellenic Bank launches “P” contactless pre-paid

Hellenic Bank promoted its new “P” Card Contactless at Costa Coffee Stores in Nicosia, Larnaca, Limassol and Paphos, where customers were shown the features of the new card that allows everyday transactions to be completed in contactless manner, easily and quickly.

The contactless technology allows prepaid users of the VISA Electron card to carry out transactions without signing or entering a PIN for amount of up to €20.For payments of more than €20, a PIN entry is required.
This allows for flexibility, faster and easier transactions that lead to less queuing at participating merchant’s counters with contactless devices and that bear the special symbol.
The contactless payments technology sets the framework for the substitution of cash transactions with card transactions, allowing card owners to make quick and easy purchases.
